WHEREAS the Telecommunications Commission pursuant to its powers under the Telecommunications Ordinance 2009, Interconnection Regulations 2009 and the Administrative Procedures Regulations 2008 is initiating the present consultation process to review the continued appropriateness of the current Interconnection Termination Rates upper limits.

NOW THEREFORE the Commission releases the findings of the benchmarking study it has undertaken, and describes its proposal to reduce the Interconnection Terminations Rates upper limit over the period 2014 to 2016 in the Review of Interconnection Rates Consultation Document which can be found on its website at www.telecommission.tc. Hard copies can also be obtain from it office at the address below.

ACCORDINGLY, the Commission requests that any party having any comments concerning the proposal make their views known within 4 weeks of the publication of this notice in writing delivered by hand to the Commission at their office at The Business Solution Complex, Leeward Highway, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands or by mail to P.O. Box 203, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands or electronically via email at consultations@tcitelecommission.tc on or before 3.30 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2014. All submissions should be filed electronically even if also filed in paper form.

FURTHER, the present consultation process also permits any party to submit reply comments on any matters contained in other parties’ March 10, 2014 comments duly filed with the Commission. Any such reply comments must be filed with the Commission in the same manner as described above and must be received by the Commission on or before 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2014.
